If you’d like the entire bundle, there is currently a giant box set available for every season from 1-13. And when we say giant, we’re not exaggerating (good luck, delivery guy). It’s a little pricey, but hey — there are thirteen whole seasons in there, after all.
Which Other Horse TV Series are on Netflix?
If we’re to be honest, Netflix, though an awesome streaming service, is a bit thin on the ground when it comes to horse series. After a look-around in the U.S. Netflix library, we only found six horse-related TV shows, excluding spinoffs and special episodes of those series. Most of them are best suited to children.
Free Rein
Free Rein is a series that first aired in 2017 and finished in 2019. It’s about the adventures of a schoolgirl called Zoe from Los Angeles spending her summer in the UK. She meets and takes under her wing a wild horse called “Raven”. Free Rein is a Netflix original series with a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb and an audience score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Ponysitters Club
A nice one for young horse enthusiasts, there are two seasons of Ponysitters Club to enjoy to date. It’s a series about a girl called Skye and her friends. The group loves animals, but especially horses and ponies. They help out at Rescue Ranch, a sanctuary for animals who need extra love and care.
Ponysitters Club is a kids series, so it’s pretty cute and sugary sweet all around, as you’d expect. If you’re an adult and want to give it a shot, too — hey, no judgment here — you’ll see plenty of sweet moments and a variety of adorable species.
Spirit Riding Free
All eight seasons of Spirit Riding Free are on Netflix. Spirit Riding Free is based on the 2002 movie that many horse lovers will have seen — Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. In this series, Spirit is captured by wranglers but a young girl called Fortuna (“Lucky”) sets him free. The two bond and become best friends.
Lucky forms a team with Spirit and human best friends, Pru and Abigail and their horses, “Chica Linda” and “Boomerang”. The group are always in action in this eight-season series and they go on many fun and sometimes scary adventures. Spirit Riding Free has a rating of 6.6/10 on IMDb. It’s another one young equestrians, in particular, will appreciate.
